Carnet de route
Saint Martin Saint Barthelemy

Good morning to all our faithful readers,

We’ve arrived in the Tropics, home for me ! for tend ays only !! … get back with the family, friends and the administrative problems that the Gallic and the Gypsy must solve before the second part of our trip.

So I, Ulla, the Antillean Doberman, am proud to provide a visit, for those who don’t know what they look like… the islands of the Caribbean and…  « no problem if you don’t like my country, you’re not obliged to come »

So here is Saint Martin but Ulla we’re stifling in this heat of yours!!

No problem, I like this… in your place we die of cold!

Hey ! XL.. did you see the colour of the water… Frankly, it’s paradise, isn’t it ?

On top of that I’ve found my chum « Choki » again, Romain’s dog and that of Yann’s daughter (Yann’s my Gypsy’s oldest son) Illona, she came from France… just to be with us.. !

We found the family again… that was great… even Triana was playing the young housewife at the restaurant counter « lunch » in Marigot (quality for price was super) and the typically Antillean decoration, bravo Bruno !

Then we went off to picnic on the magnificent beaches on which the water is really turquoise……

Buddies, a ti’rum, grilled ribs….

…a small tour of jet ski….

I don’t like water !! So what ? Look at me you’ll guess why straight off !! No ?
Here, you’re elsewhere, that’s for sure…
…no comment…

....downtown Marigot….

….the waterfront….

..the traveller’s tree…

night is falling on Saint Martin. We must go Dutch side to celebrate as in France, it’s over !!

Traditional Creole costumes
A baptism in the water
Away facing us, the island of Anguilla
A view of the village of Grand Case….
and of its airport….

The famous beach restaurants of Grand Case in which the Ribs are so delicious…

…Hibiscus flower…
Tropical flower… I don’t know its name !!.the famous lizard, a lucky charm

..Le célèbre margouillat, porte bonheur…

Sandy Ground bridge enabling the cars to cross and twice a day, it opens in order to let the boats enter or exit the lagoon…

…a small glimpse of the neighbouring island of Saint Barthelemy…

So, apparently our master have fulfilled all their obligations so we’re leaving again towards Canada for Montreal to prepare the trip to Route 66 then to South America, headed for USHUAIA Patagonia.

Goodbye Saint Martin, but it’s certain we’re going to miss you… even XL, he’s falling in love with you… !

A thousand friendly pawings to our readers.
